Forest Fire Compact Annual Meeting 

September 20 – 23, 2010  

Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment invites you to the 2010 Great Lakes Forest Fire Compact Annual Meeting.  This year the meeting will be held at Garland Lodge and Resort www.garlandusa.com from September 20 – 23, 2010. 
Garland
is located five miles south of

Lewiston

on Red Oak Road.

Monday, September 20 is scheduled as a travel and registration day.  The formal agenda starts Tuesday morning (see tentative agenda attached).

For agency reports and presenters multi-media equipment will be available.

*Registration fee for non-Compact members is $130.00 US payable in advance or at the time of registration. 

Accommodations – Registration from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 20, 2010, and again Tuesday, September 21 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Please call Garland Lodge and Resort at 1-877-442-7526 to reserve your room.  Rooms are limited so please register on time and try to share rooms when possible.   When making your reservations, please mention that you are part of the Great Lakes Forest Fire Compact group.  Rooms must be booked by Saturday, August 21, 2010 in order to assure availability.  Room rates will be $65.00 US per person per night plus taxes and there will be a $10.00 daily amenity service fee (which includes unlimited use of

’s fitness center with indoor lap pool, indoor/outdoor Jacuzzi, golf driving range and more).  Major credit cards are accepted.  Please be advised that Garland Lodge and Resort is a completely smoke free facility. 

Banquet Fee for Guest or Spouse – Guests or spouses are welcome to join us at the Banquet.  The guest cost for the banquet meal will be $21.00 US per person due at time of registration.
